Previously serving as our distribution center since 2009, Merit House on Stanhope Street, Birmingham B12 0UX, has become too small for our expanding furniture business. Moreover, our move is prompted by the costs our suppliers incur due to the Clean Air Zone charges. As we transition our operations to a larger warehouse outside this zone, we have also recognized a growing demand for self-storage facilities right in the heart of the city.
In recent years, the Digbeth/High Gate area has seen a surge in residential development, leading to an influx of new residents and a scarcity of available storage options. Many locals have had to seek storage solutions as far away as Dudley or Tamworth due to full local facilities. Birmingham Self Storage aims to solve this issue by offering accessible city-centre storage at the most competitive rates, eliminating the need for lengthy commutes just to store your belongings.
Our new facility will feature the latest in automation technology for an effortless storage experience. Customers can easily book units online and will receive a 2D barcode for hassle-free access to the loading bay. On-site trolleys and conveyors will also be available to help transport your items. We are scheduled to open by the end of 2025, just in time for you to declutter your home and enjoy a clean and tidy Christmas.
